Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026)
Vehicle Driver posts (some departments): 18 to 42 years
Other Vehicle Driver & Enforcement Driver posts: 21 to 42 years
Age Relaxation (additional years as per Uttarakhand Government rules):
SC/ST/OBC/EWS: 5 years
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Up to 10–15 years (as per category)

2. Educational Qualification
Minimum: Passed Class 8th (8th Standard) from a recognized school or equivalent.

3. Driving Licence & Experience (Mandatory)
Must possess a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) or Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licence issued by a competent authority.
The licence must have been held for at least 3 years prior to the notification date.
Must have minimum 3 years of experience in driving commercial vehicles (proof may be required during verification).
Knowledge of traffic rules and Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 is essential.
