Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 30 years (born between 02 July 1996 and 01 July 2008)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years

• OBC (NCL): 3 years

• PwD: 10 years (additional for SC/ST/OBC)

• Ex-Servicemen: Service rendered + 3 years

• Other categories (J&K domiciled, serving railway staff, etc.): As per RRB rules

आयु सीमा: 1 जुलाई 2026 को 18 से 30 वर्ष। आरक्षण श्रेणी के अनुसार छूट उपलब्ध।

2. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Matriculation/10th with ANY ONE of the following:

• ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in specified trades: Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Diesel, Motor Vehicle, Refrigeration & AC, Wireman, Turner, Machinist, etc.

• Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the above trades

• 3-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (or combination)

• Degree (B.E/B.Tech) in the above engineering disciplines

शैक्षणिक योग्यता: 10वीं पास + आईटीआई (निर्दिष्ट ट्रेड्स में) या इंजीनियरिंग डिप्लोमा/डिग्री।

3. Medical & Physical Standards

• Medical Category: A-1 (strictest medical standard)

• Vision Standards: 6/6, 6/6 without glasses (must pass colour vision, night vision, binocular vision, field of vision, etc.)

• Candidates must be physically fit in all respects. No colour blindness allowed.

• A medical fitness certificate may be required during the application or later stages.

शारीरिक एवं मेडिकल मानक: A-1 कैटेगरी – आंखों की रोशनी 6/6, कलर ब्लाइंडनेस नहीं होना चाहिए।

Selection Process

The selection is purely merit-based through the following stages:

1. CBT Stage-1 (Screening)

2. CBT Stage-2 (Part A + Part B)

3. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

4. Document Verification (DV)

5. Medical Examination

Final merit is prepared from CBT-2 (Part A) + CBAT marks (70:30 ratio).

चयन प्रक्रिया: CBT-1 → CBT-2 → CBAT → दस्तावेज सत्यापन → मेडिकल परीक्षा।

Exam Pattern

CBT-1 (Screening): 75 questions, 75 marks, 60 minutes CBT-2: 175 questions, 175 marks, 150 minutes (Part A: 100 Qs/90 min + Part B: 75 Qs/60 min – trade-specific, qualifying) Negative Marking: 1/3 marks deducted for every wrong answer in CBT-1 & CBT-2.

परीक्षा पैटर्न: CBT-1 (75 प्रश्न), CBT-2 (175 प्रश्न), CBAT (एप्टीट्यूड टेस्ट)। नेगेटिव मार्किंग लागू।

Application Fee

• General / EWS / OBC: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after appearing in CBT-1)

• SC / ST / PwD / Female / Transgender / Ex-Servicemen / Minorities: ₹250 (fully refunded after CBT-1)

Salary & Benefits

• Pay Scale: Level-2 (7th CPC) – Basic Pay ₹19,900

• In-Hand Salary: Approximately ₹35,000 – ₹45,000 per month (including DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Running Allowance, etc.)

वेतनमान: लेवल-2, बेसिक पे 19,900 रुपये + सभी रेलवे भत्ते। कुल इन-हैंड 35,000 से 45,000 रुपये तक।

3. Login and fill Part-I (personal details, educational qualification, category).

4. Upload scanned photograph, signature, and required certificates.

6. Fill Part-II (preference of RRB, trade for Part-B, etc.).

7. Preview, submit the form, and take a printout of the confirmation page.
